radnus
I purchased 3 additional LL120 fans for my iCUE 465x RGB atx mid tower case which already has 3 LL120 fans. I have connected the fans in sequence from front bottom fan being 1 to the fan in the back being 6. I have tested and confirmed by sequence by disconnecting the fans individually and checking which one turns off. In the iCUE software when I try to the do the lightning setup for the lightning node core only 4 fans light up. The front bottom and front top fans don't light up (image attached). Also attaching the iCUE software screenshot showing the 6 fans and the sequence of lights. Though all 6 lights don't light up in the lighting setup option, when I choose various options in the lighting link, all 6 lights light up. Looking for help to resolve this issue. Corsair Employees Corsair Notepad Posted January 11, 2021 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 11, 2021 The fans you have installed in the front are not LL Series RGB Fans and that is likely to be the cause of the issue you are seeing as the fans have different LED counts and will not light up as you expect when mixed like this. Thank you for the reply. I have the 'iCUE 465X RGB Mid-Tower ATX Smart Case — Black' which comes with 3 pre-installed LL120 RGB fans in the front. The other 3 fans in the case are from 'CORSAIR - LL Series 120mm Case Cooling Fan Kit with RGB lighting'. So, hopefully I am right in assuming that all 6 fans are the same LL120 series? Corsair Employees Corsair Notepad Posted January 11, 2021 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 11, 2021 I can tell you right now that the fans you have installed in the front are not LL series fans. All you have to do is compare the 6 fans and you can tell that just by looking at them.

The SKU on the fans in the front is CO-9050093-WW which corresponds to 'iCUE SP120 RGB PRO Performance 120mm Fan'. I assumed all iCUE 465x cases came with LL120 but looks like my version not sure which country it is from (SKU CC-9011188-ABA) has 3 SP120 fans in the front :( I looked at this link https://www.corsair.com/ww/en/Categories/Products/Cases/Software-Control-and-Monitoring-Cases/iCUE-465X-RGB-Mid-Tower-ATX-Smart-Case/p/CC-9011188-WW before deciding on the case. But the version I have received has 3 SP120 fans. So, is there any way I can make 3 SP120 and 3 LL120 fans work together?

Also if you have it can you PM me a picture of the part number and barcodes from the box of the case? EDIT: Ignore my request I have been able to confirm that this part number is indeed a corsair product and you did receive the correct fans. You purchased an India exclusive model that comes with SP120 Pro RGB fans not the LL Series RGB fans that come with the standard version of the case. And I had purchased 3 LL120 fans to go with it. But when I moved to India I left the case in the US and just brought the internal parts and purchased another iCUE 465x case here in India assuming it would be the same. I was wrong. All other versions except for the Indian version have the LL120 fans. Only the Indian version has the SP120 fans. So, is there any way I can make the SP120 and LL120 fans work together on the same RGB node? Or do I need another RGB node?

Nope you will not be able to get them to work on the same LNC and you will need additional hardware in order to power and control the RGB for the fans. As for the specific hardware refer to Zotty's pinned post at the top of the iCUE Forums.

Luckily the LL120 fans came with their own LNC and I was able to use that the setup the 3 LL120 fans in the top and rear of the case. I hate that the case came with three SP120 fans. I don't know why Corsair chose to not have the LL120 fans in the India version of the case just like the version for every other country does. I should have done my research properly before buying the case in India.
