lordbredd
Hi everyone. I just threw a new pc together using ARGB parts that I have never done before. Read through these forums and a lot of Zotty's links to make sure I had everything needed. I have the H150i Elite Capellix with the included fans and Commander Core, 3 QL 140 fans for the case, 2 QL 120 fans currently on the way also for case, a Commander Pro, and 4 sticks of 8GB ARGB Vengeance Pro ram. Fresh Windows 10 6-bit install, and first time iCUE install. At POST all of the lights are rotating through all their colors, but once Windows boots all of the fans and H150i pump start flashing red. I did firmware updates for everything in iCUE, and got a pump failure warning followed by all lights going out and the H150i fans stopped spinning. After about 20 seconds it all started back up, and continued to flash red. In iCUE my pump is showing 0 RPM with all the fans reading 15000-2000 RPM. Using Open Hardware Monitor and Core Temp my pc is around 30-40C idling. Havent tried anything greater than Windows updates, and Internet browsing. Now that I have revisited the forum I think I'm missing a RGB Fan LED Hub? I saw a post before I put this all together of someone trying to use the H150i with more than the included fans, and they had connected the H150i fans and RGB to the Commander Core, connected to SATA power, then plugged the USB into the Commander Pro. The additional fans had the PWM wire plugged into the Commander Pro while the RGB wire was connected to the Commander Core. I believe this was done before Zotty had the H150i to do it themselves but they responded to the poster saying that was what they would have done. Now it looks like that's not the case and Zotty's diagram has an RGB Fan LED Hub in it and the Commander Core and Commander Pro are isolated from each other. Do I need to get the RGB Fan LED Hub now, and change up all my wiring, or is my pump actually defective, and I need to get a new one? TL;DR H150i pump and fans flash red with 0 RPM on pump. Bad pump or are my connections wrong?
c-attack
The pump is still running. Otherwise you would have had 60 second after pressing power before the system shutdown. So there is no present danger and it is cooling. However, this needs to get sorted one way or another. The Elite series coolers have a temp shutdown action/command loaded into the software when you install it. You can see this in the AIO page, Notifications tab. The shutdown point is appropriate and chances are your MB shuts you down before the coolant ever gets to the 70C. There is nothing wrong with leaving this here and active, however what is slightly off-putting is main page display with the "Emergency shutdown..." message under the coolant temp. Every time I see I think it triggered. However, the relevance here is to the flashing red. Several other Elite owners reported that the alarm notification was activated on first install. Once activated, the alarm state stays active until you dismiss it. Check the notification tab and see if you can dismiss or simply toggle the notification off/on. The 0 rpm is more troubling. The Elite coolers get all their data from sensor to system along that wide cable bunch at the end of the Commander Core. Do a full shutdown of the system and flip the PSU switch off. Unplug the wide cable on the end, make sure the white mark is on the right side, and connected it securely. This could be as simple as less than perfect contact between the tachometer pin in the cable bunch. The Commander Core seems to do a lot of auto-detecting and a power cycle is required to redetect some elements. The simple power off should be enough, but the PSU switch guarantees it is removed from power and hopefully forces a re-assessment. If this does not resolve the 0 rpm on the pump, contact Corsair Support. It's possible a firmware flash could correct this, but otherwise this would seem to be a hardware issue with the cooler. There is no way for you to partially cut power or selectively reduce the pump speed to zero, so this is not something you have done.
lordbredd
I have tried reconnecting the wide cable running from the pump to the Commander Core. No change still blinking red with fans running 100% 0 RPM on pump with temps 30-40C. I tried switching the USB header the Commander Core is plugged into. No change. I tried switching the 3 pin connector from the pump to AIO_PUMP and CPU_OPT header. PC won't start due to CPU Fan error in both cases, but fans and pump continued to flash red and fans are spinning. I tried uninstalling iCUE wiping all temporary files, restarted PC reinstalled iCUE, and no change. I tried updating firmware for the H150i in iCUE, but it says its already running most recent version even after the iCUE update that went out today 1/7/2021. No change. I tried turning the Emergency Shutdown profile in Notifications to a different color, clicking the check box on and off, and removing the profile all together. No change. Guess I'll have to contact Corsair Support for RMA. I will continue to update this post as long as this problem persists.

No change. Guess I'll have to contact Corsair Support for RMA. This part is concerning to me and suggests a more deep seated issue. You certainly can wait for Corsair Support, but you would be justified in using any current exchange options you have with the vendor.
lordbredd
Just dropped off H150i at UPS. Hopefully it gets there no problems.
csm31014
Have you got this fixed yet? I have the same issue.
lordbredd
Finally heard back from Newegg. They accepted my return, but they had no more in stock so they are giving me a refund. I'll have to find another H150i I guess.
lordbredd
Money came back from refund, so I found another H150i at a local Bestbuy. Plugged everything in as intended and worked immediately. Guess I received a bad unit from Newegg. Pump is reading 2600 RPM and fans are reading 1250 RPM in iCUE, and just to be sure it's all working I set the Emergency Shutdown profile to turn all LEDs green at 20C. Everything worked as it was supposed to. Have you got this fixed yet? I have the same issue. I'd say RMA it unfortunately. Sorry this couldn't help more.
