H150i RGB Pro XT

Hello, I've got myself a H150i RGB Pro XT I'm loving it but I can't adjust the speed on ICUE software they seem to be at 0 RPM which is strange. I think I connected them to the wrong pins. 3 pin one should go to CPU and others to SYSFAN1-2-3 right? But that leaves PUMP socket empty. Do i need to connect something to that? Also I tried some stress testing and fans dont speed up.

 

 

In addition to that. Do i need to connect these? Because I don't have extra slots for those and the box didn't have a power cable for these.

Based on your statement above it appears you connected the radiator fans to the motherboard. That puts their speed control within your BIOS/MB setting and not CUE. The H150i XT has a built in fan controller and a 3 channel connectors for the fans. That is the intended place for them and gives you CUE software control over their speed.

 

The false 3 pin connector with one wire is intended for CPU_FAN. The one wire only reports a raw pump speed to the BIOS and has no effect on the cooler's operation. However, this is part of the MB's built in safety features. If the pump did not send a signal back, the BIOS would prevent the system from booting up and alert you with the "CPU_BOOT ERROR" warning to indicate a problem. While this wire is not required, if you don't have anything on CPU fan the MB will not allow you to boot the system. Something must be there or you must disable the protection system in the BIOS.

Hey man thanks for your reply. I forgot to update this thread. A rep on reddit helped me out. Turns out the fans shouldn't go to motherboard fan connectors.
