zhtb
I recently purchased and installed the Lighting Node Pro and after installing it and playing around with it, I closed the iCUE app with the intention of playing some games and noticed iCUE was still running in the background and taking a somewhat heavy toll on my already slow pc. How can I stop iCUE from running in the background?
JvS68
You can right-click on the iCue icon in your task-tray (bottom-right in the W10 taskbar) and select 'Quit'. Of course if you have iCue controlling your fans/cooling you need to keep it running in the background, if it's only lighting that it controls quitting it should not be a problem. qcarmbender
1) Quit iCUE from task tray. 2) Open up task manager and locate the process "Corsair.Service (32 bit)". 3) Right click on "Corsair Service", and select stop. It will stop the 3 Corsair processes you see in the pic. NOTE: Make sure you set the fan/pump speeds you want before doing so. I would set fixed speeds. I only kill these services when benchmarking because I want iCue to interact with my hardware otherwise. Setting fixed speeds will drop CPU and memory usage as will fixed RGB lighting when iCue is running in the background. 4) You will then be able to stop process "Corsair LLA service" (iCUE service for interaction with CorsairLLAccess driver (32 bit)) If you do not have a Corsair headset, go ahead and disable service: Corsair Gaming Audio Configuration Service. This service may re-enable when updating iCue. Edited January 5, 2021 by qcarmbender
