Corsair Virtuoso SE problems

Recommended Posts

Good day!

Problem #1

A few days ago, my Corsair Virtuoso SE (wireless) arrived. First, everything was fine. I plugged the USB Stick in and the headset connected automaticly. Then i joined a discord call an there was the first problem. Serveral friends told me that the mic quality is awful. Even some randoms in the ingame chat in online games told me that the mic sounded awful.

Problem #2

In every single game i have sound problems. Even when i want to watch YT. Let me discribe it: For about 2 minutes, the sound is fine, then there is no sound for 10 secs and thereafer the same thing happens again.

System info: ICUE installed and all updated. Battery full

Anyone who can help me?

Best regards, Timo! :D

Unfortunately i cannot help you, but wanted to add i am having similar issues.

My SE's were delivered last Fri & since using them, experiencing audio issues that i never had with my Logi g533's. Every couple minutes the sound cuts out for 5 secs or so. I have the Corsair dongle in the same usb plug the Logi used & its only 3.5' away. I have disabled the audio positioning in the icue (3.36.125) settings but still happening. At this point trying to decide if i should just return to Amazon if this is a known issue.

Hi, having the same problem.

I received my virtuoso SE wireless and the quality of the sound is quite bad.

I've followed the corsair instructions (Clean installation of ICUE and removed the headsets from devices). Nevertheless, it still bad.

I've tested them in PS4 and PS5 and sound is quite bad either. I believe that I have a defective unit or something like that.

I requested a new one. I'll post here if something goes better.

Hey everyone,

If you are still having issues after updating to iCUE 3.37.140, I suggest attempting a soft reset. To soft reset your headset:

1. Make sure your headset is currently unplugged.

2. Make sure your headset is powered on.

3. Hold the Mute button on the headset down for about 15 seconds.

4. Switch the headset off and then back on.

5. Test your headset and see if the issue is resolved.

I would also double-check your headset's audio format via its properties in the sound control panel.

  • 1 year later...

I have iCue4. And also have problem with Virtuoso SE. Volume drops when bass hits. Also the sound quality is bad. Sometimes helps turning on and off icue app (few times!). But its not a solution. Lastest software and firmware. USB multipoint / single - whatever. 😞
