SAINTJ
Installed an AX1000 PSU the other day and started noticing I would randomly hear a fan spin up to what seemed to be max rpm for a split second before going quiet. I thought it was case fans for the longest time but narrowed it down to most likely the PSU. I’m assuming what’s happening is the zero rpm mode is hitting the threshold for when the fan turns on? If this is the case, why does it start so fast and loud for a second and then go down. It’s very distracting and jarring when doing things like gaming. Is there any way to make it less extreme so it isn’t so loud?
Pocah
I can't even hear the fan on mine - on or off. You sure it's not the graphics card? Especially Gigabyte now pulse the fans when they start.
