Nagash1974
I bought new asus strix 3090 oc and connected type 4 pcie cables, my pc wont boot only the gpu blinks once. I need help please:[pouts: is this GPU issue or PSU I'm so confused. Video Attached https://streamable.com/5274je As you have nearly the same build like I have, I would love to help you, but I am not rly able to see how you connected your GPU. Have you only used ONE Pcie cable and daisy chained it on 2 slots ? And the last slot you show the cable with your fingers is not connected at all ? For an extremly power-hungry Asus Strix 3090 I am not even sure if the daisy-chain is a good idea, but it could work. But you need at least a second Pcie cable from the PSU for the 3rd slot on the GPU. Perfectly would be three cables and no daisy-chain usage, but that looks awful, I know. Your PSU comes with at least 4 PCiE cables, us at least 2 of them with one daisy-chained, if that doesnt work you need to use 3 seperate cables and have the extra three plugs just hanging arround loose. zuludrag
I bought new asus strix 3090 oc and connected type 4 pcie cables, my pc wont boot only the gpu blinks once. I need help please:[pouts: is this GPU issue or PSU I'm so confused. Video Attached https://streamable.com/5274je As I see from the video, you are using two different cables: these on the left are different from the last cable on the right. Are you sure they all are PCI-E cables? Are they original cables from the same power supply? If you plugged incorrect cable type, you could damage your GPU or PSU! Recheck once again: you need two or three PCI-E type cables.
Corsair Employees jonnyguru Posted January 30, 2021 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 30, 2021 Where did the PCIe cable on the right come from? That is not a cable that would come with an RM1000i. RM1000i has sleeved PCIe cables. Not flat "ribbon style".
Vegan
The RTX 3090 needs 2 cables as the pigtail ones are not enough to handle the demand.
