kh3ldar
Hello, I've got myself a new mobo today MSI MEG-Z490-GODLIKE and installed the cooler on the mobo. The fan runs at full speed no matter which fan slot i use. I tried every possible configuration 4 pin to pump slot and 3 pin to cpu and vice versa. Need your help. Badwolfe
Maybe the fan header needs setting to PWN in the bios if thats possible?
c-attack
The pump on that model is high speed and will run just over 4000 rpm. That should be connected to any MB header where you can disable fan control and lock the speed at 100% (usually CPU fan is best). This is the 3 pin/wire connector. The fan is physically separate and that should be a 4 pin PWM model. Speed control is through your BIOS or other motherboard software. You don't need the fan to be super reactive. Use any fan delays or hysteresis options your MB has available.
