HD120 fans Lighting issue

I recently bought three HD120 fans off of a friend to replace some old ones on my pc.

The install went smoothly but when I went to turn the PC on only the fan in the #1 slot on the RGB hub was responding to the RGB controller (I don't currently have a commander/node pro).

The fan in the #2 slot is solid white and the one in the #3 slot either shows no light at all or has one green led on.

I have tried switching the fans' order of the Hub to see if that would fix it but to no avail. All that would do is switch the working fan (whichever one was in the #1 slot).

If anyone knows how to resolve this issue that would be great.

If slot #1 works for all fans, but 2 and 3 fail for all the others, you are probably looking at a bad RGB Lighting Hub. Those an relatively inexpensive ($10 USD), but hard to acquire. Corsair has them periodically, but there is a 3rd party market where you need to watch out on pricing.

You may need to be super methodical in the testing. If the last LED on a particular fan is the culprit it can be hard to pin down while disrupting everything after it. You'll need to work the combinations with different fans in different slots to weed out the flaw.

I assume you are using the thumb remote for this?

It's one long circuit.

Port 1 -> LEDs 1-12 -> Port 2 -> LEDs 13-24 -> Port 3 -> LEDs 25-36 -> Port 4 -> LEDs 37-48.

A problem with LED 24 (or the last one on fan 2) will cause problems for everything down the line. You need to try and isolate which fan is causing the problems by rotating them one at a time in port 1, then adding each remaining fan to port 2, and then to port 3, etc.

So I think I get what you're saying but no matter which fan I put in the number 1 port there is at least one led off no matter which fan it is. For two of the fans, the one led not working is just off while for the other one the led not working seems to flicker a white color with tiny red, blue, and green colors visible in the led but small. Are all the fans defective?

It seems unlikely that all of the fans are defective. Is it the exact same LED on each one? I suspected the hub originally, but you said it already was replaced. That kind of leaves things in a mess.

Start a support Ticket with Corsair. Make sure you specifically mention you just bought a new RGB Lighting Hub from them. Since the fans were purchased second hand, they are not going to be covered under the warranty, but the hub may get you some help.
