ICUE Not picking up PWM control on one of the fans on commander core.

Hello and thank you in advance for any help.

I had installed a H150I Elite a few months ago and using the included commander core, I setup a total of 6 fans. 2 front, 3 rad and one rear exhaust. the 3 rad fans are the ML120s that came with the set and the 3 intake/exhaust fans are LL120.

All RGB work as expected and gets detected perfectly by ICUE...

However when I look at ICUE, I can only see 5 fans and the pump. so the RGB on the rear case exhaust fan works fine, but I have no PWM control of it through Icue. I have tried updating, uninstalling software, removing commander and reinstalling.

Anyone experience this and have some advise?

Thank you!

Is the missing fan spinning or stopped? The Commander Core appears to use some type of auto-detect on the PWM side as well. Trying doing a full shutdown, then disconnect and reconnect the PWM fan that is missing. See if it shows up on next OS load. The power cycle to the device is necessary to trigger a re-detect of the PWM side of the fans.

That’s the super weird part, I guess I should have clarified! It is powered up, spinning at full speed since there is no speed control while the commander isn’t recognizing it.

So what we are trying to figure out is if there is a problem with the tachometer wire on the one fan (no speed reported) or if this is just finicky detection behavior from the Commander Core. Disconnect the missing fan from the Commander and connect it to any motherboard header. If the tachometer wire is damaged, it won't show up there either.

If it does give a speed there, move a different PWM fan to the problem header on the Com Core to see if there is a specific problem with that header.
