intoth3rainbow
Hi guys, I've had my Corsair One for a little over 3 years now (first generation of Corsair One, it's the "pro", with 7700k 1080 GTX) with pretty much no complain or issue whatsoever. Recently, I started noticing my GPU temperature and it's been going up quite a lot. It's usually sitting at 82-83 degree when I keep it at full load for a while . I remember it was around 68 - 70 degree max back then. Just wondering what I can do to bring it down :sigh!: PS: my CPU Max load is around 83 degree too (but it's been around it since the start so not much issue, plus I don't stress the CPU much anyway)
EchoSierra
Hi there, It may be the case that you need new thermal paste for your GPU. If you are comfortable working on your system, that's a good place to start. 3+ years is enough to make the paste lose its effectiveness. I would also do the same for the CPU even if there is not much difference from when it was brand new.

You are right, I think it's probably the time I should do it, I am a bit scared because it's already out of warranty and if I screw it up I won't be able to get it fixed easily though :(: Anyway, I also tried to undervolt it, so far actually quite good temp result - with no problem in stability. I will keep it going like that for a while to see how.
zguy85
Yea it's time to paste again. Everybody who has the OG C1's seems to be having the same issues lately. Repaste and keepin on!
