Wesleyrpg
hi, how are you? just a few questions......the suppliers out here refuse to import any 2700LL into Australia, they say that the product has been discontinued. i have tried the 3200LL equivalent but it only works at normal timings on my MSI Megabook M510C. I really don't want to pay for a premium product to get normal timings! Does the 2700LL product still exsist? Would corsair be interested in exporting some to one of the distributors out here? if not could someone recommend an online retailer that posts internationally? Many thanx
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 29, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 29, 2005 No I am sorry this product has been disscontinued. You can use XMS3200XL and just run them at DDR333. But all of the modules in your system will need to match.
Wesleyrpg
No I am sorry this product has been disscontinued. You can use XMS3200XL and just run them at DDR333. But all of the modules in your system will need to match. I think the problem is that the CMXSD512-3200LL RAM doesn’t have any values in it’s EEPROM about the correct operating timings @ DDR333. Accorfing to CPU-Z the only info in the onboard RAM EEPROM is the DDR400 timings, it doesn't have anything listed for operation @ DDR333. Can u confirm this or check this out for yourself? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 4, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 4, 2005 No thats not the case. In order to decode the values for the SPD there has to be both parts the SPD value and the bios value. With OEM systems they often do not include all of the values to save space. I have these modules running in an ASUS NB at DDR333 with no problem.
