blautemple
Hello, i just received the following waterblock: https://www.corsair.com/de/en/Categories/Products/Custom-Cooling/Blocks/GPU-Blocks/Hydro-X-Series-XG7-RGB-30-SERIES-GPU-Water-Block/p/CX-9020013-WW Unfortunately the block does not cover the entire die. Did anybody else already mount the block and has the same problem. A pic is in the attachment. Greetings, blautemple
Kuro Houou
I have the same GPU/Water Block.. although not installed yet. Curious did you use the pre-applied paste or use your own?
blautemple
I only used the preapplied thermal paste, to check if the cooler fits. I also opened a ticket 3 days ago, but did not receive an answer until now.
LeDoyen
looks like the block was not flat against the card. there was contact somewhere around the PCIE connectors maybe? the paste trace kinda shows where the block was higher
blautemple
Yeah, I double checked everything but I cannot find the reason...
Kuro Houou
Have you tried re-seating since then with your own paste? I assume you just did a test fit and screwed everything down tight right? Seeing how thin thermal paste is, must have been something ever so slightly off. I hope you get it resolved.. I will be doing mine in a week or so.. fingers crossed! blautemple
Nope, because the gap is way too large to be filled with thermal paste. If the preapplied does not contact the die something is wrong ^^
