M55 mouse sidebuttons not binding

I've been having an issue with my new M55 mouse side buttons not binding to the options i want.

 

i have read up and followed instructions from other people posting helpful advice on m55 mouse issues or icue in general but it still doesn't work

 

all im trying to do is change the functions of the side buttons....im not assigning any macros or anything...

 

here is a link of a couple of pictures to show that i have followed the instruction set out by others on here....am i missing something?

Hi Beowulf6666,

 

First, we sincerely apologize for any delay you experienced due to extraordinary holiday support/service request volume.

 

You can only assign the side buttons on the M55 for the "handedness" that's currently selected -- the other side buttons are disabled until you switch it to right handed, or left handed, from whatever it is currently set on.
