Jayceran
I am trying to update my bios as the one I have is the factory made one. I have a CS-9000010. The real problem I have is the usb 3.0s are reacting as if they are usb 2.0s. I have been trying to figure it out but I figure thats the last thing I could do. Anyways, what the heck is a 2cd file and how do I made it a bootable flash?
zguy85
Put the 2cd file you downloaded on a flashdrive of any kind. Don't put the file(s) in a folder, just strait to the root directory on the flash drive.
Jayceran
That's what I thought. However, when I set my drive in the flashdrive and reset it does not start it. I even went into the bios and have it set to start from USB priority one. It would not boot in usb it just kept booting from my hard drive and before anyone asks yes I saved it in my bios. I dunno does it require a specific type of USB flashdrive?

zguy85
Go to the BIOS and you'll see M-Flash on the bottom left click that. You have to be in M-Flash mode.
Jayceran
Still did not work. I got to the menu and it showed the flash drive but it had only system folder and nothing inside of it. Maybe I did not get the right 2cd file? CORSAIRONE_2018_2CD.zip And inside of it has E7B43IZ1.2CD
zguy85
That's not the right file for your particular system. This is the one your should have if you run the Z270 with the OG corsairs from 2017/2018 with the 7700K and 1080/TI's. I got you my dude! Its that Z270_4C3 =). https://drive.google.com/file/d/1shmSKFJrV6X3lXVMNPKzExTHEq2VC5IV/view?usp=sharing It's the latest one that had been offered from Corsair. This should work for ya. Follow these steps with the file: https://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=191003 Hey Corsair, when you get a chance can you please fix the link you have posted. Jayceran
Well, I got to the flash boot and went to run the E7A66IZ1.4C3 and it said it was not going to do it because it was not official from MSI. Any ideas? Thanks btw for giving me the proper one. I know I am on the right track. I just got to get it to work.
zguy85
Just says that because its a modified version of their bios from Corsair, it should allow you to push it. That one I think is loaded differently then the M Flash.... Follow the directions in provided link. Edited December 24, 2020 by zguy85
