dogman1911
I have a K70 RGB mk.2 keyboard that is only a few months old. About half of the time when I turn on my computer, the keyboard backlight does not come on. I have to either unplug the keyboard and plug it back in, or power down the computer and reboot it to get it to come back on. Huge pain, particularly having to get up and try to reach the USB plug on the back of the computer each time this happens. Any thoughts on how to prevent this? c-attack
Are you getting the red triangle in CUE after boot? Or it just is not lighting up at various times? The red triangle is a general warning indicator, most of the time because of improper initialization on boot. This could happen if using BIOS or Windows fast boot (hibernate), but I use neither and have one K70 Mk.2 that just does this a little too often. As noted, unplugging and replugging is the normal solution. If possible you try a different set of USB ports and make sure your chipset drivers are up to date. I would contact Corsair Support and see their response. Mine does not do this every time or anywhere close to that. Just a random 1-3 times per week. Every time is too much. dogman1911
I have not checked for the red X in iCue. I dont bother to continue the boot, as I usually just keep shutting down and restarting till it comes back on. Next time it does that, I will check in iCue. I also contacted support to see what they say.
