Therien
Hi there I've searched the board, I found many threads discussing RGB, but none with my specific problem.. So a few days ago, I flashed the bios on my motherboard which made a mess of everything, ending up with me reinstalling windows 10.. No biggie, everything worked as it should.. Installed iCUE again, set up my lights, it looked sweet and went about my day.. The next day tho', the RGB on the pump freaked out.. Had a static color combined with rainbow wave, however, where it it was supposed to be static, the light was flickering, while the rainbow wave was stuck.. I deleted the lighting effects and re-applied them.. This worked.. But then, I rebooted.. And the light was "flickering" again.. Now, I couldn't get it work after reapplying the lights, in fact, now I could not apply any lights, as all "lighting effects", no matter what they were, resulted in the exact same broken flickering.. Then I did a firmware update, and I updated iCUE.. This did nothing. The problem percists.. I can't control the lights.. I can confirm that no lights are broken, all LED's work. Sometimes I am able to set up the lights, but after a reboot, it is back to the weird flickering.. It feels like it has had a lobotomy.. But hardware lighting works! Is it an RMA? Thanks in advance, and happy holidays. Edited December 17, 2020 by Therien
c-attack
If you quit CUE from the task bar and drop into HW Lighting mode, does it still flicker? You are also in this state at boot/shutdown/lock screen so any flickering there would differentiate a software problem from a hardware/power problem. Therien
There is no "flickering" in HW mode. It doesn't seem like there is anything "mechanically" wrong with the RGB, so it must be the software, but I don't see what else I can do besides reinstalling/updating.. And I've done that about 3 times now 😐 Also.. It seems like one of the LED's dominate the LED's.. You know, in ICUE, you can pick the individual LED's.. If I pick all but one Led, there is no light.. But if pick just the one LED, the rest of them goes nuts.. I'm sorry, this is hard to describe accurately...
c-attack
In the CUE settings, turn on "debug logging" and then I would contact support. It reads like a software problem, but I haven't seen any reports of problems this issue on the pumps LEDs across the models. The bit about sending it crazy by selecting the 1 LED seems like a LED problem, but also raises another issue. Do you have H150i Pro? Or the H150i (Pro) XT?
