Jakenkid
I recently built a new computer with these specs, Asus A8N SLI Deluxe 512Mb Corsair PC3200 AMD Athlon64 3200+ 2x MSI Geforce 6600GT's Antec True Power 430W I have been running it for about 3 months now and decided to up the RAM to 1Gb. I asked a friend of mine to purchase the additional 512 DIMM for me, he accidentally ordered part # VS512MB400C3 instead of VS512MB400. With the C3 DIMM my system will not boot. Even after adjusting CAS latency to 3 for both DIMMs it will not boot. I would like to have it function without getting an RMA if they will even do that due to the negligence of this end. Any recommendations would be helpful.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 28, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 28, 2005 Please talk to your reseller and see if they will let you exchange the module. But both modules would need to be exactly matched with this Platform. In addition, the PSU you may not be enough as this MB requires an ATX 2.0 Compliant PSU as well.
