DFI Lanparty Ultra D and Corsair memory

Recommended Posts

I am running BIOS 310 on my Ultra D with 2X512 modules of Corsair XMS 3200 RAM. 3500+ Winnie, 550 watt PSU with 28amps on the 12 volt rail. Anytime I OC to anything above standard 200 "FSB", I will BSOD or Super Pi will fail, or memtest/docmem will error. I have tried up to 3 volts for the DRAM, and keep the box cool. I see on the DFI forums, many people who get 250 MHz and above! I can't get 205. Any idea why?

Matt, Have you tried any of the other bioses available? I have found that the 331 series and the 414 series seem to work much better for me then the 310 or 310p. I am currrently using the 414-3 beta bios with my Ultra-D, 3200+winnie, TwinX1024-4400C25, & XXX modstream 520 psu.

Max OC settings are 8x300mhz = 2.4Ghz, with 2.5-3-3-8 timings, cpu volts are 1.2 + 133% and mem volts are 2.7 with the +0.03 enabled. This setup is mostly stable with no memtest errors after 10 complete loops and primestable up to 8hrs before errors.

I have stepped down slightly to 8x288=2.3Ghz from the max oc. The system is now primestable for 16+hrs (I got tired of waiting  )
