LE-FISH
Would like to build a custom loop for my system but unsure about mixing different brands/products. Got all the Corsair Hydro parts I need apart from GPU block which is out of stock (reference 3090) Are alphacool and EK GPU blocks compatible with Corsair fittings and softline tubing? Also, does it matter about the coolant? Corsair XL5 Performance would be fine to mix with other GPU brand coolers? These are the GPU blocks I am thinking about getting: https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-quantum-vector-trinity-rtx-3080-3090-d-rgb-nickel-plexi?___store=default https://www.overclockers.co.uk/alphacool-eisblock-aurora-gpx-n-rtx-3090-3080-graphics-card-water-block-reference-acrylic-wc-0bj-ac.html What you think? Very much appreciate advice/help :)
BlaiseP
Both are fine, the main problem is mixing metals in a loop and both of the linked blocks are nickel-plated copper which is the same as Corsair's offering. If you are working with the 3090 and thinking about EKWB's offering, don't forget to add a backplate to your order to cool the rear DDR6X memory. Thanks for the info :) And actually, RGB on these GPU blocks... can I plug either into a Corsair Commander Pro? If not, what setup is required to customise RGB? LE-FISH
You need either a 3rd party adapter for 3-pin ARGB to Corsair or control it via an ARGB header on your motherboard, if possible. Hm I see... I have a JCORSAIR connection and JRAINBOW too... I assume plugging GPU block straight into the Corsair connection with adapter is the way to go? If I wanna light up my Corsair CPU Block and Reservoir/Pump too... I guess I will need a splitter so all items can use the JCORSAIR connection via motherboard?
