xcava86x
Hello, I've been browsing keyboards for a while now, and I was about to buy a Corsair K95, though I notice that at the moment there is no "starry night" lightning mode for iCue. Starry night mode (that both Razer and Asus ROG have) is a mode where random keys lit up and can go through a hue before going off. I believe it shouldn't be too hard to code this lightning effect, and would make it (at least for me) a selling point over the competition. Please, if you like the idea of having this effect added write it in the comments, as well as if you know how to create this effect please explain (I tried but there's nothing like that in the software). Video of my Razer Ornata Chroma for reference (custom effect I made, but to show how it can look like). [ame] [/ame]
Blacksad
Hi there! This is a "Starry Night" themed profile someone commissioned. I'm not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for, but thought you may want to check it out. https://alex.krastev.org/users/profiles/288/profile
c-attack
The recommendation above is definitely a place to start and looking at Alex's work is one way to learn how to combine and manipulate some of the effects. Quick and dirty version is take a static field of your color choice, then layer Rain on top of it. Change Rain to alternate color mode and choose 1 color to match the same one you selected in Armory Crate and then make the second color the same as the static base. This will diminish the amount of random color additions and make it closer to the target. Starry Night on the Asus side is kind of hit or miss. On the MB sections it's almost undefinable. You can't really see it until you get some longer LED strip sections.
xcava86x
Thank you for the suggestions! I'll borrow a keyboard from someone and try out the profile above as well as some tinkering.
