ToddH
I've been running a stick of CMX512-2700C2 (V2.1) for a few years now, and it looks like it may be the culprit for my system's increasing instability over the past few months (BSODs, programs crashing, etc.). No hardware components on the system have been modified for about a year, so I feel like that can be safely ruled out. I ran the latest memtest and it came up with several errors. My system settings for the tests included: Gigabyte 7VRXP V2.0, bios F10 (factory defaults for tests) Memory set to 2-3-3-6 @ 2.5V (also tested with 2.5-3-3-6 and @ 2.7V--all four combos) Athlon XP 1800+ I was able to borrow another 512mb stick and run through memtest with the same bios settings and received no errors on those tests. I've also checked around on some Gigabyte forums, but haven't run across anything that would indicate other options to try. If anyone has additional ideas on what to try, I'd appreciate hearing them! I'd love to get my system stable again. Thanks!
