ICU software on startup disabling profiles

I recently bought my first coursair product, the strafe mk.2. I can setup profiles but they do not apply then the pc is online. When I boot the system, on bootup the profiles all work. They continue to work until the system has booted up and the ICU software starts in the background. At this point, the profiles stop working and switching between them has no lights on. I have uninstalled the software and the profiles are working but i would like to create macros and change the config. Does anyone know what is going on here?

The keyboard has two effective functional states -- one with the CUE software running (software mode) and one when it is not running (Hardware mode or HW). The software profiles are saved to your PC and work like any other software files, with the program needed to access them. The hardware profiles are created in the software in the Hardware Lighting and Hardware Actions tabs, but then must be saved to KB's memory bank from the Onboard profiles tab.

Based on what you've described, I am guessing you used the hardware profiles and saved them to the keyboard. If that is your only Corsair device and you don't need a lot of complex lighting or actions, then you may not need to run the software except to make changes and save adjustments. However, most people will be running with the software mode active and should create software profiles within the CUE app.
