momorious
Hello. I have a MAJOR issue: I have build my first AMD system with a Ryzen 5800X on a Asus Prime X570-Pro Mainboard. I also installed Windows from fresh. Now every few minutes the Commander Pro is disconnecting (USB disconnect sound, then a command center message popsup that the lastly used USB device had an error). When I unplug the Commander Pro I dont get any USB disconnects but as soon as its connected the USB disconnects start. Note: I have also connected a Node Pro to the USB header of the CoPro which is not recognized by iCUE at all. I also already tried both internal USB headers and I even bought a very new Commander Pro with the exact same issue so its definitely an incompatibility issue of the Commander Pro with my AMD build. Anyone know how to get it properly working or is it known that the CoPro is incompatible with AMD?
jshurak
Do you happen to be running any other monitoring software? I had an almost identical issue with commander in which my fans kept disconnecting. It was the result of using HWiNFO which iCue was running. Edit: I see your issue with commander itself disconnecting. May not be that similar after all. Are there any known USB header issues with your mobo/bios? momorious
No; I only run iCUE but it also disconnects when not using iCUE and in fact no software at all... So its no software conflict but seems to be a USB issue on X570 boards where you can workaround it by using the NZXT USB Hub as far as I have read in other threads... This is SO disappointing.. :(
LeDoyen
it's a common problem with X570 apparently.. could be the way they power USB headers, i don't know but most people solved this issue by using a powered internal USB hub, like the very popular NZXT one. https://www.nzxt.com/products/internal-usb-hub
Sineira
This happens on Intel systems as well. I have a Z390 motherboard and even after installing an internal NZXT USB hub I still have issues. It affects my mouse as well and I have to pull it out to get it to work again. Extremely annoying. Corsair, are you working on this issue? Overall Commander USB seems to be severely buggy.
Liamesque
As far as I know this is a common problem with mostly X570 Prime P and Prime Pro boards. No idea why. I am a victim. I bought the thermaltake internal hub and it fixed it for me as suggested in the other topic about this. NZXT one should work fine too but that one uses molex to power on. momorious
Got it fixed by using the NZXT powered USB Hub. Still a shame you have to buy this Hub to get the CoPro working properly on X570 Boards... Didnt had any issues in Z390 so there is something fishy with X570 for sure...
