neogipson
Im using a Giga-Byte K8NSNXP Motherboard with a AMD Athlon 64 3000+ and I have the 2 sticks of CMX512-4400C25 that came as a matched pair. They work fine with my setting at 9X on the CPU multi and the FSB at 270 if I have memory controller set on auto which puts it at 166 to start out went 2 passes on memtest86 without any errors. Now if I change the 240 and put the memory controller to 200 and I got 15233 errors in the 1st pass on memtest. These settings worked fine with my 2x VS512MB400 that I had before with the memory contoller on auto which has the same latency settings. Ive messed with Hypertransport like and changed it all the way down to 2x and still got errors. The voltage is set at 2.8 the highest thats in the BIOS Ive tried everything I can think of to get this to work. Its seems that all my problems have started when I got this memory everything worked fine before and my CPU seems to run hotter with this memory for some reason. If you know something that I my not have tried please let me know. I didnt spend almost 300 dollars to be running the same memory speed that I got for 1/2 that in Value Select memory. Thanks for any help in advance. If you need any more informatin please let me know.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 25, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 25, 2005 More than likely its just the configuration you have topping out. Can you test the modules one at a time?
