H100i Elite Capellix issues after firmware update

Just purchased and installed the new Capellix H100i to replace my H100i V2.

Everything went smooth with the install except I had to install tubes up in front (sorry Steve :nono:)

My issue began when I booted up the PC and opened up iCUE, the new cooler was recognized right away and the unicorn vomit RGB was working great.

I noticed the new cooler was recognized as (H100i elite Capellix) in iCUE and when I clicked it's icon a firmware update was available.

This is when my issue started, after the update my device list no longer listed the H100i Elite Capellix but now showed a Commander Core. I also no longer see my pump LEDs only the two fans in the iCUE software. Even worse iCUE no longer seems to control the AIO at all and the fans + pump LEDs just blink red every couple of seconds.

I've tried updating iCUE, restarting, I tried to force an update of the commander core firmware and nothing seems to work. Once the forced firmware update finished the LEDs just go back to blinking red even when they are set to display rainbow.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to gain back control of the LEDs?

PS: I don't have any other RGB software installed, I had just recently installed Asus Armory when iCUE gained support for Asus motherboards and it was detecting my motherboard fine and causing no issues. However I purposely did not use it to control any LEDs to minimize conflicts.

Once this new issue popped up I uninstalled it completely (losing my motherboard in iCUE) but it didn't seem to help.

PSS: If anyone from Corsair is reading this could you link to the original firmware for the H100i Elite Capellix so I can try to force a downgrade to it.

I am having the same issue with my H100i Platinum RGB, except mine was like this right out of the box after purchasing it a few days ago. The thread I posted has a bunch of different troubleshooting steps that I already tried and would recommend you try as well. My last reply has a link to a previous iCUE version given to me by a Corsair rep which in theory has the older driver if you want to give that a shot, but unfortunately none of that worked for me. After talking to their support team it sounds like they don't have an immediate resolution. Seems like a lot of other people are having this issue after a recent update, so we'll most likely need to wait for a new patch to come out when they realize it's an issue. Edited by AberrantX

I'm having the exact same issue as OP with the 150 elite. No RGB on just the pump when first installed, updated firmware and now it's full throttle fans/pump with blinking red lights.

I don't recall the original firmware version but the current version I upgraded to and when it broke is 1.5.131

Nothing has worked so far from my research or what support has suggested to fix it so make sure to avoid it like the plague. Useless.

Open the notification tab on h150 and see if You have something active in that voice. If You see a notification enabked delete it and all work again.

I had "Emergency Shutdown" as a notification. Deleting that didn't do anything. There's also an error in the bottom left of iCue that says "Pump Failure. Please contact support". The pump is reading 0 rpm but I can feel and hear it running. It's either faulty firmware or the pump was messed up and wasn't getting a rpm read from the start

In case anyone has the same problem and stumbles across this:

I reached out to support by a ticket since the problem originated over the weekend and their call center is M-F. The original response was clean reinstall which didn't work. Since it had been a few days without response, I called support today explaining the situation and how I've tried basically everything. The rep told me to send it back and get a new one since there was nothing left to do. I was going to mention a firmware rollback but didn't bother because I purchased mine through Amazon and I'll have the new one in two days so just pressing the easy button and starting over.

If anyone has these same issues, I'd just send it back and not bother with the troubleshooting since there doesn't seem to be a solid answer anywhere online or from support. I hate costing manufactures money when something could possibly be fixed but it is what it is.

I'll update here in two days on what the results of the new cooler are.

Edit: New cooler works flawlessly, great performance. Firmware is also 1.5.131.
