cluckomatic
Will my motherboard support (Gigabyte GA81K110 rev.2) registered and/or ECC RAM, particularly ECC? I work with very large files (audio and video) and often in mission critical situations (audio recording). I need extreme stability and data integrity. If my motherboard supports only one or the other (ECC or registered), will RAM that is both ECC and registered cause a problem? Assuming my mobo supports one or both (ECC and registered), will either be affected by running in Dual Channel? As I need to make a purchase quite quickly, I would appreciate a quick response. Wired
Will my motherboard support (Gigabyte GA81K110 rev.2) registered and/or ECC RAM, particularly ECC?GA-8IK1100 (Rev 2.x) From what I can find it supports ECC and Non-ECC memory, but not registered memory. If my motherboard supports only one or the other (ECC or registered), will RAM that is both ECC and registered cause a problem?YES. Assuming my mobo supports one or both (ECC and registered), will either be affected by running in Dual Channel?Don't think so.
