mjojr
You could either run them from Motherboard Headers but you would have to control them via bios or motherboards software or if you wanted control in iCUE then look at the Commander Pro maybe? Thanks for your patience with all our question Zotty, You are very helpful in every way, and I'm sure everyone who follows this thread appreciates much of the effort you make to help Us. I decided to ditch all the SP favouring the ML fans, a bit pricey but making life easier. I got one more question, though, upon setting the fan curve. The ML fans have a very low RPM compared to the one that came with the Capillex. Is there a way to raise the RPM without affecting the fan that came with the Radiator as they are already high from the start? My Capillex fans RPM ranges around low 800, while the ML fans for the case run at 380+ RPM. I would love to increase the case fans RPM to at least 600 to 700 without affecting the Radiator fans RPM. But if it does, I hope you can help me with how to set it up. Thanks in advance.
Zotty
yes you can do that bud... you want to create your own custom fan curves and apply them to the fans you need to 'speed up'. This may help [ame] [/ame]

mouser
Building a new system and ended up going with a 7 fan setup. Parts - H100i Cappelix cooler (2x 120mm) - 3 pack ML120 RGB - 2 pack ML140 RGB From what I can tell these packages include: - 1x Commander Core - 2x Lighting Node Pro - 2x RGB Hub If I understand everything correctly, these hubs only support a total of 6 PWM fan connections? Would my optimal setup be? - Run 6 fans into the Commander Core, both RGB and PWM. - Run the 7th fan RGB into a Lighting Node Pro/RGB Hub. - Run the 7th fan PWM to a motherboard fan connector. Or can I use a power splitter cable on two of the fans I’m good with running at the same speed? Will the Commander Core handle that extra load? Or also a RGB splitter cable and PWM splitter to run all 7 fans through the Commander Core and skip using a 2nd hub device, having two fans run the same speed/RGB? If that would work can you recommend a RGB splitter cable or tech lingo to find one with the right connectors? I don't anticipate expanding beyond 7 fans so it seems like overkill to add another PWM hub. TYIA for any help Note: And lesson to share with the Lian Li Lancool 2 Mesh case. I’m doing a top mount AIO, and the Lancool case has top space for two 140mm fans. However when you add the radiator in with the fans the total thickness won’t fit with most higher end motherboards that have thicker port backplanes like the Asus ROG Strix B550 I’m using. Had to swap from the H115i (280mm) I originally ordered to a H100i (240mm) which I was able to successfully top mount. The conflicting distance was a centimeter at most, but enough that I couldn’t use the H115i. Still very happy with the case. OneLastDab
I was wondering if i could get some help with a recent build. I got a h100i elite capillex 240mm, the commander core, commander pro. 1 ll120 rgb, the 2 ml120rgb, and 3 sp120 rgb pro that came with my crystal 570x case. All fans light except the 3 front case fans sp120 rgb pro. All pwm and rgb connectors are plugged into the commander core, and the commander core usb plugged into commander pro, which is plugged into my mobo. All the fans including the front 3 spin. Just they dont have rgb, even though all 6 are plugged into the commander core. All rgb works except the front 3. Any ideas?

RGB Splitters on the Commander Core doesnt work because of how its senses per RGB header. as for a PWM splitter... although not supported by Corsair.. no reason why you cant do that... but all on your own back bud.. technically its a mod outside of device specs

Hi bud.. you prob have 2 problems. which is due to those 2 SP Fans (they are the None Pro Version) 1, being the 3 SP fans are 3 pin voltage controlled.. they will be running at full speed all the time.. the Commander Core is PWM controlled only. 2, being the SP none pro fans are not supported for mixing with other Corsair RGB Fans.. solution would be to plug them into the commander pro and an RGB Fan LED hub. Christobald
Good morning all First post for me. I installed an H115i Elite Capellix. I also bought an ML140 Pro RGB to put back but the RGB does not light up. it flashes at times as we can see on this video: https://streamable.com/6t2tal Even if I change the lighting effects, it doesn't change anything. the PWM connector and the RGB connector of my ML 140 are connected to the commander core. I changed the port on the controller but nothing helps the RGB does not light up. Thank you for your help
Zotty
Hi buddy.. doesnt look like the other fan above it is light correctly either.. and thats the fan i would start with... These fans work in a chain.. if one LED in the Chain has a fault the the following LEDS (and Fans) may not work correctly. try moving that upper fans RGB connection to the last in line?.. any change? if so.. start a support ticket off with Corsair... mouser
Got everything setup and running fine. Only question I have is: Two of the ML120 Pro RGB's are on the bottom of my case providing intake over the GPU. In this orientation the fan LED's are directly visible, facing upwards behind the fan blades. Are there any strategies to mitigate this, even if that requires different parts? The most ideal solution would be a fan that has the LED's on the intake side of the fan, rather then the exhaust side of the fan. Don't even know if such a thing exists. Thinking on it, just a tiny piece of blocking material might work, so the LED's still light up the fan blades but aren't directly visible from this view. Here is the response from Corsair support : "The reason you are experiencing this issue is because the fans have to be the same series. Unfortunately, the ML fans on the AIO or different from the ML 140 Pro RGB you have purchased. They have a different number of LED's which causes confusion if they are on the same controller" So What models do I need to buy for this to work? because the commander core with 6 led ports. And I would like to add a 3rd RGB fan to the rear Thanks
Palros
Hi all. I have just got my capellix h100i elite and I can see and hear the pump working fine and also the fans (including the LEDs). But when I go into icue, I can't see ether the commander core that came with it or the pump. I have followed all the instruction and guidance from the Corsair help, but I have had no Joy. Can anybody help? Or tell me how I can confirm where the issue is. From a Google it seem quite a common issue. Is this a known hardware fault? It's a real shame, because my last Corsair AIO has run for the last 9 years without a single issue.

I'm finishing my build, have 2x of the AIO ML 8x LED fans and 4x ML Pro 4x LED fans running on a Commander Core, not seeing any issues like you have in your video where the fan LED's are sputtering. Only oddity I've come across so far is the iCue software seems to display every fan on the Commander Core as having 8 LED, even though the ML Pro's are 4 LED. But the 4 LED ML Pro fans are still displaying every pattern I send them via iCue, just using the 4x LED vs 8x.

As soon as I put back those of my AIO it no longer works. It means that those of the AIO and the ML 140 Pro RGB that I bought are not the same. However on the Corsair site we can read: "The CORSAIR iCUE H115i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler delivers powerful, low-noise cooling for your CPU, with a 280mm radiator, two CORSAIR ML140 RGB PWM fans, and an ultra-bright CAPELLIX RGB pump head. " There's just the word Pro less. So where do I find these fans who are in the AIO for sale?

My best understanding: AIO Cooler ML fans: max 2400RPM, 8 LED ML Pro fans: max 1600RPM, 4 LED However I don’t see any options from Corsair to buy the upgraded AIO ML fan versions separately. And I am running both versions of the fans on a single Commander Core without the issues you appear to be experiencing. I don’t know if it makes a difference, but I am running the AIO ML fans on port 1/2 of the Commander Core and the other 4 ML Pro fans on ports 3-6. stevenckl
Just got my Corsair H115i with 4QL as case fan (3intake 1exhaust). All my fan connect to Coco. But the default fan curve silent, balance and extreme is not my liking. Try with custom preset but the sensor to my Asus Crosshair VIII hero all just label TEMP1,2,3,4 and 5. and i guess both the Capellix 140fan were control using the sensor (H115i Elite Capellix Temp). My question issit posible move both of the capellix fan to mobo cpu fan header to have better control of the curve by mobo software? But moving to mobo header then fan detecting the temp report by mobo instead of the capellix sensor will there have any issue?

stevenckl
I would set the fans to Liquid Temp and not to your CPU.. its the Liquid temp you are trying to manage. Thanks for the explanation above. Currently i am using push pull config on my rad. Where push i'm using ML fan and pull using Arctic cooling P14 fan. Matching both speed and airflow. The RGB lighting so unmatching in my system. So I'm thinking to change to 2 QL as push on my rad and ML as pull. QL and ML pwm fan i use y splitter connect to CoCo. All 6 QL rgb connect to CoCo. Since the ML is on top of radiator the lightning is not visible so i can disable. But is there any impact on cooling the radiator since the ML and QL airflow and speed is different. I read and watch most of ppl say QL fan is not suitable for radiator.
Zotty
Imho. you have plenty of intake.. airflow shouldnt be an issue.. and being push/pull on such a thin rad.. QL's would be fine buddy... assuming you don't have silly hot ambient temps?
