[RMA] 3 bad modules rma needed

Recommended Posts

I am afraid that my beloved corsair modules are not functioning properly.

cmx512-3200c2 twinx (2x)

cmx512-3200c2 (1x)

my setup:

amd barton 2500+

abit an7

radeon 9700

when i tried a reboot my system froze and never booted again.

I tried

1 module instead of 3

different memory slots

another cpu

another motherboard (abit nf7 and an abit nf7-s)

another psu

another vga card

disconnecting everything exept the ram

resetting the bios

removind the cmos battery

nothing worked exept for replacing the module for a twinmos module :D:

is this rma worthy? :p: :D:

With the CPU you have you would need to run the memory at DDR333 and set it manually. If you set the memory freequency at By SPD it will try and run the memory at DDR400 and cause a bottelneck in the Chipset.

Please try these settings and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org.

CPU Freq: 166 MHz

System Performance: User Define

Memory Frequency: 100%

Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts

Resulting Frequency: 166MHz

SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T

SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T

SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T

SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T

well i am sorry but i cannot boot with neither of the modules and i must stress that everything was working fine with the spd settings up until a manual reboot now none of the corsair ram is working.

so it isnt possible to run a memtest as i cannot get by the POST screen with a module inserted

the only thing working is another ram module..
