Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 21, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 21, 2005 With that CPU you would need to run the memory at DDR333 or it may generate errors. Can you tell me the bios settings you had set for the CPU and memory?
gyanmahadew
i was running it at 400Mhz timings by spd also tried running it at 333Mhz also by spd since i did a bios reset/cpu change/mobo change etc default ram settings didnt work either
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 22, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 22, 2005 With the CPU you have you would need to run the memory at DDR333 and set it manually. If you set the memory freequency at By SPD it will try and run the memory at DDR400 and cause a bottelneck in the Chipset. Please try these settings and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org. CPU Freq: 166 MHz System Performance: User Define Memory Frequency: 100% Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts Resulting Frequency: 166MHz SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T
gyanmahadew
well i am sorry but i cannot boot with neither of the modules and i must stress that everything was working fine with the spd settings up until a manual reboot now none of the corsair ram is working. so it isnt possible to run a memtest as i cannot get by the POST screen with a module inserted the only thing working is another ram module..
