Only one fan running on H100i Platinum RGB

I've had the h100i platinum rgb installed for a bit over a week now, and it has been fine up until the last couple days. A couple days ago the rgb got all out of sync with iCUE. iCUE was showing the colors I wanted, but the devices were just going through the default rainbow thing. I foolishly forced firmware update and after 18 hours of it trying, I just restarted my computer and everything came back fine (v 1.01.15). Fast forward 24 hours and now one of the fans isn't running. RGB is working, but the fan is at 0 RPM, no matter what speed setting I have. I've restarted the computer, updated iCUE (now on 3.33.246), and then restarted again. No luck. I'm running the fans on extreme, hoping that the one running on extreme can pick up slack for the other one not running at all.

Temps are peaking around 76 for now, so not terrible concerned about it today, but obviously only one fan working is not a long term solution.

So the fan is actually stopped and not just showing zero RPM in CUE?

You probably are going to have to flash the firmware again, but I can understand why you might be reluctant to do so. I also routinely advise not sit around repeatedly flashing the firmware on any AIO. Eventually you'll encounter a negative consequence. You should contact Corsair Support. There seem to be a few Platinum/XT fan controller issues floating around.

Temporary work-around: If you have a PWM 2 way splitter, you can run both fans from the 1 working fan channel. You also can move it to the motherboard for power/control. It doesn't need to match the other fan exactly. You'll likely be forced to use CPU temp. In order to keep the fan from racing up and down, keep the range narrow and the slope relatively flat. 800 rpm is enough to keep air moving through the radiator with some cooling effect. 1300 rpm is enough to keep performance in check at higher CPU temps.
