jorgeviola
Hello - I'm about to complete my first build in over 15 years so I beg your indulgence! I bought a Corsair Carbide 100R Mid-Tower to put an MSI B450 Tomahawk MB in along with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU and Radeon Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 GPU. Trouble is, there was no HDD LED connector in the case. Do I even need an HDD LED?If so, did the case come with the connector?Where would I even put it? I understand that, if I needed to, I could buy the HDD LED on line. Thanks for any assistance! :o:
Corsair Employees Corsair Albert Posted September 9, 2020 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 9, 2020 Hello jorgeviola, Thanks for including us in your first build in over 15 years! Nope, a HDD LED is not needed. The Carbide 100R Mid-Tower does not have a HDD LED included. The 100R's front I/O connectors consist of: USB 3.0, HD Audio, Power Switch, Reset Switch, Power LED +/-.If you did have a HDD LED connector, it would connect to the front panel header section (JFP1) of your motherboard. You can see a diagram on page 5 of the B450 TOMAHAWK's user manual or refer to this video: [ame] [/ame].
