marcorivera84
Good morning, I went and conducted an update for the new software and unfortunately after the update ICUE does not start. It shows up on the task bar as active, the icon pops up but then closes. I did follow the thread about changing the location and editing the registry key but that also did not work. I would appreciate some help. I know the older version still works but the profiles for lightning effects do not work with the older versions. Thanks in advance. c-attack
Yes, once you've updated the program, the profiles are stamped with that version and you can't go back. Try a repair install of iCUE. Windows Settings -> Apps -> Corsair iCUE. Left click and select "modify". It will reinstall drivers without deleting your profiles and settings. If this does not work, try unchecking the "start on system startup" box in the General Settings. Then after boot, launch manually. Does it load now? Do you have any new iCUE devices you just added to the system? KB, mouse, Nexus?
marcorivera84
Hello Sir, thank you for your response. I only have the H100i Cooler and the CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz C16 LED Desktop Memory - Black. Nothing was added. marcorivera84
So I tried that and that does not work. Would you mind a team viewer session?
c-attack
Try a "faux clean install". From the task manager or task bar drop down, Quit iCUE. Then navigate to C:Users/(name)/App Data (hidden)/Roaming. Cut and paste the Corsair folder to the desktop. Those are all your setting and profiles. Now relaunch iCUE and it will recreate a new folder with default values and no existing profiles. If this works, it likely means something in the profile data was corrupted. Finding and fixing that is more difficult than re-creating the lost settings - most of the time. If it does not work, you can again quit iCUE, navigate back to the Roaming folder, delete the "new" Corsair folder, then drop the old one back in. Even if you can't see them, the data will still be there for when you are able to start up.
marcorivera84
Hello Sir, So I had the older version installed. I went ahead and did the update that did not work. After that I removed it installed the new version followed your guidelines and the same thing occurs. Icon pops up on taskbar then closes on me. No function at all. marcorivera84
Sir, I used version 3.24.52 from which I conducted the update. Before that I did as you told so copy cut paste and then run. That did not work either. Not sure which way to go now. Thank you for your help and support. Any additional help would be good.
