M3dic
I put together a computer using 2 of these ram modules in a Giga-Byte GA-7N400 Pro MotherBoard with an Athlon XP 2500+ chip in it. After a few unsuccessful attempts at installing windows i started checking my hardware. I ran memtest86 and discovered errors with the ram. I then took out 1 dimm at a time to test if they were both defective. Only one was defective. After removing that module I was able to install windows. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 20, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 20, 2005 Please set the Dim Over Voltage Control to +.2 Volts and test the suspect module with http://www.memtest.org to be sure. And if you still get errors please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 21, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 21, 2005 What slots do you have the modules in? And I would set the Rass to Cass (TRCD) to "3" and use slots 2-3. At the main bios screen I think you have to hit CNTRL + F1 see all of the bios options.
