Ken Davison
Hi I am currently building a new pc using a Cosair Spec 05 case with a ASUS Prime B450M-K motherboard. I have three case cables 2x power LED, Power Switch and Reset Switch but I am unable to locate pins on the motherboard. Any advise would be most welcomed.:o: Apart from that all is going very well
LeDoyen
How silly.. it's not in the manual.... really weird. In the Asus support page they have another PDF with all the pin definitions on your motherboard. https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM4/PRIME_A320M-A/E11133_MB_Pin_Definition_v2_print_vendor_only.pdf Check on page 10 (section 16). you have the pinout of the front panel header. They should also be written in very small characters on the motherboard.

Ken Davison
The pins were not labled but there was only one set of pins with the 9 pin configeration so that solved that problem. There is one more you might be kind enough to point me in the right direction. Power supply to front, rear and top fans. Nothing on board and no cable adapters/connections. Ken Davison
Solved it, just surprises me the case comes with a fan and no way of connecting it to the power supply, Amazon had the answer.
LeDoyen
yea there's two fan headers on the motherboard. CPU fan and Chassis fan. Back in the days we used to connect fans directly to the power supply, but it's rare now. You have no speed control this way. it's full speed only (and noisy). If you use the AMD cooler for your CPU, it plugs in the CPU FAN header as its name says... (this header will trigger an alarm if it doesn't detect a fan spinning, as a safety measure to protect against your CPU overheating) The other fans can plug to the CHA FAN header. I believe your case only has one chassis fan so, no worries.
