dossisboss
i have two sticks of cmx512-3200c2 memory. if i let the bios set up it puts them at cl3 not cl2.5. sandra reports one memory at cl3 for 200 bus not 2.5 like the other one. look at Memory Module 2. i have been getting a lot of memory errors in winxp sp2. i have set the memory up manually. but i get lock ups sometimes. if i let the bios set it up no lock ups or errors. why is it reporting cl3 not 2.5. everest reports the same. if i set it at 2.5 is this overclocking mem moduler 2 and causing my problem? Wired
+/-12V seems a bit low. Check to make sure they're within spec. What is the exact revision # of each stick? What CPU / FSB do you have?

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 19, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 19, 2005 It would relly be best not to mix revisions, but with this MB you would want to stagger the modules in slots 1-3 or 2-4 and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts and set the timings manually to Cass 2.5-3-3-7 and set the memory frequency at DDR333. Why set it for 333 not 400. the board is rated for 400 and memory is rated for 400 cl2.5 ?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 19, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 19, 2005 Well no thats not quite right. Please see the product page for this MB. If you have a 333 FSB CPU you would need to run the memory at DDR333.
dossisboss
Well no thats not quite right. Please see the product page for this MB. If you have a 333 FSB CPU you would need to run the memory at DDR333. the board i have is a KT6 Delta-LSR not a KT4 Ultra and the cpu is a xp3200 (11x200). thats why i run the memory at 200. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 19, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 19, 2005 It sounds like you have a older module that was made before January of 2003 and if so the SPD would have been set the JEDEC defined values for PC-2700 as there was no official spec untill then. In addition, all XMSC2 modules would have their SPD set to JEDEC defined values for the IC used to make that specific part. The tested settings would need to be manually set. We can try and RMA the modules if you like but you will need to make it clear in an email that your modules dont match and see if they can help get you a set that matches. Please send us a email with a copy of the form or all of your info name address and phone# and the Module part# and copy the link to this post and email it to Rma@corsairmemory.com. If after 1 day or 24 hours excluding weekends you do not get the rma please email the same to warranty@corsairmemory.com and we will help to resolve it
dossisboss
what module should i rma first or second or both? thanks!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 19, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 19, 2005 I would suggest you send them both but you need to talk to customer service to make sure they can help you with that, as our RMA process is automated and you may get back 2 modules that do not match again.
