Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?

Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?

Motherboard: ASUS P4C800-E-DELUXE

CPU: 3.2 GHz P4

FSB: 400 MHz

BIOS: CPU=AUTO, MEMORY=SPID (AUTO), PERFORMANCE=DEFAULT

I have 2 identical CORSAIR 512 MB XMS3205v1.1 DDR modules which have both worked fine until two weeks ago, when I started getting frequent blue screen crashes.

I ran the latest Memtest86 on both modules and got thousands of errors after a few minutes. I then pulled out one of the modules and reran the test, it gave no errors after 1 hour and 45 minutes of running. I then switched modules and ran the test a third time; Memtest began generating errors almost immediately, climbing to over 3000 before I shut it down.

Please try these settings and test the modules again with http://www.memtest.org to be sure.

Please try these settings after you load setup defaults.

AI Over Clock Tuner: Manual

CPU Freq: 200 MHz

Memory Frequency: 100%/DDR400

Dim Voltage to 2.75 Volts (but if you over clock 2.85 Volts)

Resulting Frequency: 200MHz/400DDR

Legacy USB: Disabled

SDRAM CAS Latency: 2T

SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T

SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 2T

SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T

Then test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org. If you do still get errors with that module please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them!
