Hi I've got a 200r case with an asus prime z390a mobo, i installed a commander pro yesterday to add more fans but im not sure i attached the right ones. i also have a h100i mounted inside top in push pull with the included fans inside pulling and a pair of af120s on the other pushing. the other fans are another af120 on the back top case, the stock case fan in front and two on the left panel. what all should be hooked to the commander? and what should i hook to the mobo (and in what header), also is the af120 push and the ml120 pull on the radiator ok? should i switch them or? any advice is welcome. this is my very first pc build so idk what im doing really. and the best way to control them. rn ts i think a mix of icue and asus fan xpert Edited by SymbioteSmokes

You likely want the stock fans on the H100i (Pro? Platinum? XT? GTX/v2?) running from the pump controller. That frees up a header on the Commander and it also offers some measure of safety since those fans will respond to coolant temperature with or without the software running and regardless of what you do with the Commander.

All the other fans can go on the Commander. The AF120s on the radiator can be set to run from coolant temperature and have a matching curve to the those on AIO controller. In terms of performance, it likely makes little difference which set is in push or pull. However, one set will be between the radiator and the case and that tends to be the noisier position with 2 surfaces to for the blade to interact with. My educated guess is the AF will be slightly quieter in that position with a more steeply raked blade, but if this is something you haven't already noticed, then don't go moving things around. Coolant temp differences will be nil.

There is no real reason to use Fan Xpert/AI Suite at all. The Commander effectively replaces the need for motherboard control and you have moved the fan locations from MB header to the Commander and iCUE.

No. The AF series is 3 pin DC motors and cooler is a PWM controller. Since you have the Platinum with easy RGB lighting on the fans, that might be another reason to use AF120 LEDs in between rad and case. Since they are DC, their brightness will be tied directly to voltage/fan speed.
