scrappysphinx
Hi, i have two identical 16Gb DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX (model # CMK16GX4M1A2400C16) and both are advertised as 2400Mhz. The thing is CPU-Z show them running at different speeds. One shows Max Bandwith or 1066Mhz and the other shows 1200Mhz The Jedec info is different for both but being that they are identical models i was expecting them to be identical. I am getting some WHEA_Uncorrectable_Errors quite frequently and wondering if its the different speeds? I have done a memory test with Windows Memory Diagnostic and it passed without issue. If i enable XMP in the bios it doesn't appear to make any difference either. PC Specs just in case Motherboard - MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Edge AC Wifi CPU - Intel I7-9700K Ram - 32Gb Corsair Vengeance (as above) GPU - PNY RTX 2080 OC (Factory OC)
scrappysphinx
I was googling and someone suggested using a program called Thaiphoon Burner to read the SPD of each module. They do come out differently which i'm still a little perplexed by considering they were both purchased from the same store and were the exact same model. So can anyone explain why i would receive two different modules from the same supplier and model/part number Module 1 (runs at 2133mhz) Module 2 (runs at 2400mhz)
