ako
I have unearthed an old PC from storage and noticed it's running very hot. Upon looking at the pump, I just wanted to check it was installed correctly as it's not done how the instructions suggest. The instructions advise a Y cable exists that connects both fans to the pump. None seems to be present. Instead, both fans are plugged using independent connectors directly to the MOBO. Were the instructions dated? Can this setup work still? The Corsair fans are running at 100%, CPU at 88 degrees Celsius and I'm not sure the pump is doing anything at all. Therefore any advice would be very helpful. Thanks in advance. Edited May 20, 2020 by ako
DevBiker
Which flavor of H100 do you have, specifically? There are several. H100, H100i, H100i GTX, H100i V2, H100i Pro, H100i Platinum, H100i Platinum SE ... and I may have missed one or two in there. Despite the common "H100" moniker, they are all very different beasties. That said, connecting the fans to the motherboard isn't ideal but it will work. I would not thing that this would be the issue. More likely is sediment from being in storage and unused.
