jrd417
I have 2, 512 sticks of RAM. I got an error message from my Motherboard right after the POST. This is the second Motherboard I have gotten this message from. I have run the RAM in the dual channel memory configuration on both boards. The first MB was an ASUS A7V333 board and the second was an ASUS A7N8X board. Both of these boards have the BIOS that talks to you after POST to either say all is OK of tell you of a problem. I removed the RAM and replaced it with RAM of another manufacture. I have not gotten any error messages since. The RAM was bought at two different times and I didnt have any problem with the first stick that I know of. But when I got the second stick I started having the errors reported after POST. I just wish I could remember which stick was the newer one. I just want to get the RAM tested by Corsair. If there is a small fee I'm ok with that. I just want the peace of mind that the RAM is good, as I want to use it in a testbed computer for my work with beta programs.
Wired
What CPU / FSB / Motherboard do you have? What is the exact part # and revision # of your memory? How To Read the Memory Label Is it a TwinX pack? If not, what is the revision # of each stick? Did you test one stick at a time in each slot using Memtest86+? IIRC, Corsair does not have a pure testing program available. If it is determined that the memory should be replaced under warranty, then they will be replaced with new sticks. jrd417
Current Motherboard is A7N8X as stated above, CPU is Athlon XP 2200, MB will handle 400 FSB but I think my CPU is less and the RAM is 333MHz. The part number is XMS512-2700C2 on both parts. The Version is 1.3 on both parts. The lot number on one stick is 0305033, and 023411 on the other. The older stick does not have the holograph sticker on it just a plain white one. The Version on the old stick is this: XMS2700v1.3 and the newer one is XMS2702v1.3. Just so you know I do not have the RAM in my Computer now, I had to replace it to avoid the error messages. These sticks are not a Twin Set. Forgot to answer the test question. I did not use the memtest program on either stick.
