Can't get an RGB fan to run

So today my H100i platinum arrived and I completed the setup however when I started everything up the Fan RGB weren't working, I swamped the 2 Connectors and got 1 fan to light up however the 2nd fan won't light up in either plug while the fan that did only lights up in plug labeled 1. The working cable is the one with the Tag still on it. Also plug coming from AIO, 1 has 4 prongs and 2 has 3 prongs

So ... it's likely that one of the fans is bad. Since the fans operate in a series, one bad fan can take the other one out.

And yes, the connectors are supposed to be like that.

I had planned on ordering a 3 pack to replace the other fans in the future as they are the default fans that came with the case and aren't iQue compatible. Would that solve the problem later? Edited May 6, 2020 by Jeffjordan93

Most likely. But you can try to contact Corsair support to just get that one fan replaced.

I know - for a fact and from personal experience - that they do honor warranty requests for stuff purchased from Amazon as long as you are the original owner.

 

As to whether they'd replace one fan or replace the entire unit ... not sure. But it's better to ask them. If they say no, what have you lost?
