Hende
Hello, I have been geting this error for a few weeks now. When it happens my keyboard and mouse lock up and are unsuable for 1 or 2 seconds. My only option is to close iCue compleletly. I have tried a few versions of iCue but I am on the latest right now. Also, when it happens a red triangle appears next to the keyboard and mouse inside of iCue but not on the ram. Any help would be greatly appreciated 2020-04-30T11:26:16 W cue.devices.dram.pro: Failed to set dram effect timestamp: "Dram [0:5a]" 2020-04-30T11:26:16 W cue.devices.dram.pro: Failed to set dram effect timestamp: "Dram [0:5b]" 2020-04-30T11:42:05 I cue.devices.nxp: "STRAFE RGB" Buffer write, 1. failed. with "The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request. Mindslayer
I am getting the same thing with the latest version of iCue as well. It started happening for me with the past 2 updates. Same error: 2020-05-08T20:27:48 I cue.devices.nxp: Fail counter for "STRAFE RGB" reached zero, setting status AbstractProtocol::Fail 2020-05-08T20:27:48 I cue.devices.nxp: "STRAFE RGB" Buffer write, 1. failed. with "The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request. My keyboard only seems to be the one that is affected, my mouse isn't. Something isn't right with the software. My Strafe RGB keyboard is a few years old so it's not the latest version. I also get a bunch of this in the log too: 2020-05-08T20:27:43 W cue.devices.layout: Invalid HW layout 2020-05-08T20:27:43 C cue.manifest: Cannot find "" layout for 0x840dd20 2020-05-08T20:27:43 W cue.devices.layout: Invalid HW layout 2020-05-08T20:27:43 C cue.manifest: Cannot find "" layout for 0x840dd20 2020-05-08T20:27:43 W cue.devices.layout: Invalid HW layout 2020-05-08T20:27:43 C cue.manifest: Cannot find "" layout for 0x840dd20 2020-05-08T20:27:43 W cue.devices.layout: Invalid HW layout 2020-05-08T20:27:43 C cue.manifest: Cannot find "" layout for 0x840dd20 2020-05-08T20:27:43 W cue.devices.layout: Invalid HW layout 2020-05-08T20:27:43 C cue.manifest: Cannot find "" layout for 0x840dd20 2020-05-08T20:27:43 W cue.devices.layout: Invalid HW layout 2020-05-08T20:27:43 C cue.manifest: Cannot find "" layout for 0x840dd20 2020-05-08T20:27:43 W cue.devices.layout: Invalid HW layout 2020-05-08T20:27:43 C cue.manifest: Cannot find "" layout for 0x840dd20 2020-05-08T20:27:43 W cue.devices.layout: Invalid HW layout 2020-05-08T20:27:43 C cue.manifest: Cannot find "" layout for 0x840dd20 2020-05-08T20:27:43 W cue.devices.layout: Invalid HW layout 2020-05-08T20:27:43 C cue.manifest: Cannot find "" layout for 0x840dd20

Maybe try that?
Mindslayer
Already have mine plugged into the MB on the back of my case. So I am not using the front panel USB ports at all for that. Mine is really random, it will happen several times a day and then nothing for a day to 2 and then acts up again. I am almost ready to just buy another mechanical keyboard but I don't want to waste $$$ if that's not the problem and it's just some buggy code on their part. I really wish someone from corsair support would chime in.

Mindslayer
Yeah same here, not using the USB port on the keyboard anymore either. When the keyboard would freak out, it would take out my mouse as well. I have my mouse plugged into the back of my machine separately from the keyboard. I even reflashed the latest firmware on the keyboard (which it already had), thinking it would help, but to no avail. And just some insight here, I upgraded my machine this year with all new components, new CPU, MB, power supply, ram, etc, and the problem followed with it. I never dumped anything on this keyboard either. I am at a loss. When the problem happens I noticed the rainbow color I have setup for the keyboard stops and the keyboard goes back to default red and Windows gives me a chime almost as if I unplugged the keyboard and plugged it back in. During which time I can't type anything until it recovers which is a few seconds but still very annoying.

It followed me when i moved from a intel system to a new AMD system too. For me, i'm pretty sure it has something to do with my front IO USBs. I don't use them at all anymore. Maybe a dodgy connection or bad grounding? Maybe not but who knows. Fortunately, it all works for me now. It was super annoying in games, not being able to look or move for a second or two wasn't great. I hope you find a fix soon.
