Hi everyone,

I have received my new H115i PRO RGB.

I note that there is only one lead on the pump tach cable (the one wich is connected to the CPU_FAN header on the MoBo)

Is this OK or is it wrong (maybe a lead has been broken)?

Thanks in advance.

Jean-Paul

No that's it. Just a tachometer wire to report a pump speed to the BIOS. All power will come from the SATA connector -> PSU. That also means all controls will be through the software (iCUE) and not the BIOS.

Thank you so much c-attack for being quick to reply.

Because I am not that good in English what do you mean by "No that's it"?

Do you mean there is only one wire ?

Take care,

Jean-Paul (from Paris)

Sorry, that was a little casual on my part. It is the one wire (tachometer) by design. You are not missing any parts and it is not damaged. You can connect it to any motherboard header to show a pump speed in the BIOS. We normally suggest CPU_FAN because something has to be on CPU fan to boot up, unless you disable that warning in the BIOS. Also, CPU fan isn't very good for normal case fan control, so this is a good place to put the H115i Pro connector as it does not take speed control from the header. Technically, you don't have to connect this header at all, but it will warn you if there is a problem on boot if connected to CPU fan.
