Dominator Platinum non RGB and RGB

Hi all,

 

is there any difference between Dominator Platinum and Platinum RGB Dimms?

I am looking to upgrade my RAM and the QVL of my board only lists the non RGB Version as compatible - CMD32GX4M2C3200C16 yet not the CMT32GX4M2C3200C16

If they are the same, except for the RGB, they shold be fine, right?

The RGB version will likely work fine. We don’t see a lot of people on ASUS Intel boards coming back will incompatibility problems. However, I would not assume a 3200C16 Dominator kit is exactly the same as the 3200C16 RGB version. I don’t mean to suggest it is a lower quality, but it seems like most manufacturing is toward the RGB varieties and any silver Dominator may be from a few years back and have a different source than the current.
