jayhawk74
I have been having a problem with my pc that I recently rebuilt. I am running a P4 3.0 LGA775 630 on a Intel 915PCY mb. I have 1 gig of corsair DDR2 PC4200 Value select ram. When powering up the machine I get lights but no boot. I have to power off and back on and then it will usually comes up. If I trying running Unreal Tournament 2004, upon exiting the game I will get a blue screen with Irql not less or equal. Physical memory dump Stop: 0X00000A. I am trying to find out if this is a memory issue or a motherboard issue. Anyone have any ideas.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 6, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 6, 2005 Please test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and lets see if we can isolate one of the modules causing the problem.
jayhawk74
I have tried running the memory test and I do not get any errors at all. I have been running on the same memory chip and get the same results as I do with both chips. Turn on the pc and I get lights but no boot. Turn off and back on and everything works fine unless I try running something like unreal tournament then I get the blue screen of death and a reboot. Is the memory the root of my problem. It still seems that way to me.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 11, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 11, 2005 I have no problem replacing your modules, but what you have posted would suggest some other problem.
