zapp7
H150i, SATA powered, AORUS Master mobo, i9900K @ 4.9GHz I have a custom fan curve configured in iCue (see below). The rightmost point is 34C, 100%. Under load (encoding with Handbrake) the coolant temperature is consistently greater than 34C. However, audibly the fans seem to keep revving up and down. They'll be loud for 10 seconds and then audibly rev down and be very quiet for roughly 10 seconds. All this despite the reported coolant temp in iCue never dropping below 34C. The RPM's on the fans also stay roughly the same, reporting above 1600 RPM despite audibly revving up and down. Any ideas?
zapp7
Well I'm an idiot. It was actually my front chassis fans that were revving up and down. I could have swore I set those to a constant speed, but apparently not. All is well.
