Hg227 Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well in these uncertain times. I wish to ask about the current health of my Corsair H150i Pro RGB CPU cooler (installed in April 2018). From the linked to photos below, have you any theories on what is causing the shape to appear in the upper right corner of cooling block? It looks a crack of some description. Apologies for the quality of the photos: Image 1: https://imgur.com/a/UfFq4dm Image 2: https://imgur.com/a/gcjs7Tm I initially thought the water had caused a bulge in the plastic breaking away some of the black covering. This is not the case, the area is still level and smooth. When powered off the black covering still looks intact. There is no debris visible in the case. I haven’t been pushing my CPU hard and in fact hadn’t opened the case for just over 6 months until I saw this and examined it. CPU temperatures are normal. Is this just normal wear and tear or is the cooler likely to fail? My CPU is an Intel Core i9 7980XE at default clock speed. Please let me know if I can provide any other details. Thank you very much in advance for assistance/advice. Please stay safe out there.
