Hovpod Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 Hi! This is my frist time posting here, so I hope I won`t mess up. I just built a new system and everything is looking good. But I could not controll the RGB for the fans. I have a compro, two node cores, 3 ll120s, and 3ql120. My case is a 220T, that came with 3sp120s (not in use) and a node core (in in use for the ll120s). I have set it up like this: The 3 ll120s goes in to the node core that came with the case, that further goes to the USB-hub on the compro, and the compro to the mobo. The exact same for the ql120s, with the node core that came with the fans. In the Icue software i can`t seem to fint neither of the node cores. The compro is recognised tho. Anybody have a clue?
DevBiker Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 Are the Node Cores detected when connected directly to the motherboard USB?
Hovpod Posted March 21, 2020 Author Posted March 21, 2020 I haven`t tried yet, but thanks I will do. My mobo only has two usb 2.0s tho so I hope Ill figure out whats up with the compro USB-hub.
Hovpod Posted March 21, 2020 Author Posted March 21, 2020 The Node Cores do work, when directly connected to the motherboard. Maybe its the USB-hub on the ComPro that's the problem, it is brand new so it seems wierd.
Baio Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 Do you use a splitter to connect the CoPro’s SATA power cable to the PSU? If so, try to remove it. Baio
Hovpod Posted March 21, 2020 Author Posted March 21, 2020 I am using the cable that came with my RM750X (a three way SATA power cable). But I am using all three of them two for the Node Cores and the last one for the ComPro. Could it be that my cable is not delivering enough power for the three of them?
Hovpod Posted March 21, 2020 Author Posted March 21, 2020 I rewired some stuff and the ComPro now has a SATA power cable (a three way, the only type I have) for it self. This did not help at all:(
c-attack Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 There seem to be a lot of USB issues with the x570 chipsets. A lot of other users get around the limited number of internal USB hubs by sticking a 3rd party USB hub in between. The NZXT one is known to work. There are several threads out there. This is just one. https://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=189994&page=4
