Envtex
So I have had this CPU Cooler for about 1 month now, and not really had any problems with it, until yesterday, when it started to have a very loud and powerful rattling noise. I've had some sound from it before, as well as my previous CPU coolers from Corsair but this is a very violent noise and the entire PC vibrates lightly which definitely isn't good. It usually only happens on startup, though occasionally it could do it when playing games. I've recorded a video of it, and uploaded it on YouTube so you can hear it yourself. Is it faulty, or have I done something wrong? Is there a fix or does this go on warranty? [ame= ] [/ame] Thanks in advance for any advice!
c-attack
This sounds more like a fan rubbing against a cable/wire. Pumps usually do not have a deeper, gravelly tone. The "pump whir" would be higher frequency. If it were the pump, I would also expect to see secondary symptoms like a very low pump speed and considerably higher coolant temperatures. jamie1073
That sounds like a fan to me not the pump. If you powerup with your finger on the pump do you feel it surge like that sound.
