icsmurfs
What are the optimum settings for me to achieve highest performance at 1:1 ratio while overclocking? MSI 865PE NEO2-FISR Bios v2.5 Intel P4 2.4C 800mhz FSB TWINX1024-3200LLPT rev 1.2 lot # 0331028 eVGA nVidia GeForce FX 5900 Ultra 256MB WinXP SP2 I am oc-ed at 2.48 mhz with stock hs/fan with the RAM running at 207 mhz FSB at 1:1 with 2-3-2-5 with ddr voltage at 2.6v resulting in total FSB of 828mhz. Increasing anything else results in instability. Any suggestions?
Wired
That memory is tested @ 2.75 volts, so you'll probably want to crank it up a bit. It's warrantied up to, but not over, 2.9 volts.
leeghoofd
You could loosen your timings a bit and go 2-3-3-6 and see how high the Corsair gets, also like Wired suggested cranck up the votage up to 2.7volts eg. Memtest each speed change to see the ram runs foolproof. I think you easily could reach 2.6 without any issues and even 2.8 is within reach but with way looser timings eg 2.5-3-3-8. But you have to make sure the CPU remains well cooled, an Intel starts to drossel when the core gets too hot and it looses significant performance. Keep that baby cool and let us know what you can get out of it :D:
